The Building 17E Expansion, Animal Research Facility will replace the existing Building 18.  Building 17E is a six story building which includes a penthouse and is approximately 90,000 sf of animal housing, core capabilities and research space. Building 17E will connect to Building 17. Building 17E Expansion was constructed using a cast-in-place pan formed concrete beam and slab system spanning to cast-in-place concete columns supported on auger cast piles.
